Beautiful Designs and Patterns on Glass: Where You Can Paint Everything!

Hmm…so what was the last thing you created on your own? What, nothing??? Haven’t you tried making Warli art  that I’d shared in my previous post yet? Ah, okay… take your time, I won’t mind but will keep on reminding you like an alarm clock.

Okay people, I am going to show something very distinctive and mind-boggling which will inspire you to show off your creativity. Today we are going to learn making glass painting designs & patterns. Sounds interesting!

As I was not much into searching stuffs on the internet, I made a fuss by paying huge amount in learning this glass painting technique. Yay…I was so happy when I joined the classes but hey…the painting that I made was a boo boo :(

No, it wasn’t my fault at all (though I was bunking classes), I did what my teacher taught me. Actually, she was the only one in my near by area where I can get to learn about this famous and well-known glass painting technique.

I didn’t get to know that she is telling us the wrong techniques, until I visited my friend’s home and saw some incredible designs she made and had put it very nicely on her walls. WOW! What a beauty it was…

Ah, with that colorful memory, let me first start with wonderful designs that you can experiment painting on wine glasses and other beautiful stuffs for home decor.

I know I know, everyone is not expert in making it…but still you can try this free hand-glass painting design on whatever glass material you want to.

How would your reaction be  if you get served with a glass with your name written on it? Yeah, I know you’ll be all happy and feeling homely…The best part is, your kids are going to adore it and you can see smiley faces all aroung. :) Want to try making it? Get the tutorial right here

Aww…look at these cute little kids made on glass…my niece actually looks like these kids drawn over here. I can literally feel the joy my niece will have, when I’ll make this for her.

Here’s an important tip for you: While you try your hands on this fabulous art. For glass painting designs, you need to use the colors directly keeping the color bottle close to your design because you need to dip your paint brush again and again into it.

How to Paint

And the outcome will be….ta da!!! Oh, I love these cute designs on the door. No measuring, no taping so ultimately…no worries, free your hands and just STROKE with splashing colors! Wuhuu… :D

Wine anyone??? Ah oh…hey I don’t drink (sometimes) ;) I was talking about paintings on glass. Swear! Don’t believe me, see I have painted wine glasses to show the designs to you all.

Pick any of these designs and make your own style statement and show the buzz. By the way my last line that “I don’t drink” was all fake. It has nothing to do with the reality. I can say proudly, I drink beer water. :P

The chalk-paint idea is same as we use it for painting walls of kids room. But using it on a glass is something different. I think this will be a new concept for many people. Even I tried my hands on glass paintings but it didn’t turn out well..I’ll try it again! :)
