[Priceless Gift] Handmade Crafts for Your Loved Ones

A wonderful and adorable handmade gift for that “very special person” in your life! Your gifts can be a unique and heart touching if it is made by you, rather that a ready-made one.

A Perfect Handmade Crafts as a Gift for Someone You Love

“WOW”, this is so beautiful! Yes, This is what I said to my dearest friend Preeti, when I received this wonderful handmade craft, as a gift this morning from her. And my happiness and excitement made me share this post with you all.

I couldn’t control myself from calling her immediately as soon as I received it and the courier staff was still standing at the door. Actually, he was smiling when he saw my ultimate expression of wonder.

This is one of the most precious gift I have ever received. Preeti is a very creative girl and a wonderful soul, though she irritates me sometimes but “I love her”, oops, just as my best buddy. :P

I won’t speak much (as I already did) and let me just show this out of the world handmade gift that can be an idea for crafts for adults. Here it is…

This was not the first time I got a surprise from her but this one is precious to me! I took a number of pictures of her handmade crafts, and will be updating it one by one in my upcoming posts.

Wonder what is it made up of? Okay, I will tell you the materials used but the images with the steps involved in making this priceless gift will be updated when I will try making it for my blog readers.

Materials Required in Making This Handmade Gift Item are:

3. Small piece of a cardboard for base

4. Fabric and pearl metallic color

5. M-seal

Steps Involved in Making This Handmade Craft Item

Step 1: Take a small piece of cardboard and add a thick layer of mixture of water and fevicol (mixed in equal ratio)

Step 2: Take cotton balls or the one that comes in layers, soak it in a bowl filled with color of your choice. Squeeze it slightly so that the cotton remains spongy and place it on the glued cardboard in step 1. You can add layers of different colored cotton to add a variety to your handmade craft ideas.

Step 3: Since it will take a longer time to dry, keep it under the sun for hours until it’s half-dried.

Step 4: Now, you can bring it inside, else you will faint sitting under the sun while you carry on the rest of the steps. :P

Step 5: Now that your layer of colorful cotton is half-dried, pour a mixture of the same fevicol+water drop by drop making sure that it soaks well and becomes heavy. Do not let it overflow.

Step 6: Let it dry for few days, yeah…this craft item takes a longer time to dry. I wonder what level of patience Preeti has to have waited for so long. I mean seriously, you know what, she made this in monsoons and dried it in front of a room-heater. Gawd!!! :-o

Kudos to the efforts she makes to create such wonderful handmade crafts. Phew, Ah…I will not be waiting for days to dry it and then complete the final step….so here is the last and the most important step…

Step 7: Finally, make a cute design by the mixture of m-seal, as we make flowers with it. Preeti has made this romantic couple on a boat.

Step 8: Here, you can see the boat and the couple has been painted in bright colors. She has used pearl metallic color to give a shiny effect to it. Choose your own design and just glue it on the board. That’s it, you are done making a precious gift item. :D

Whoa! Finally I shared it with you all (gosh! it was paining in my stomach), am feeling so relaxed right now. I asked the steps from her to make it easier for you to understand. Thanks a lot to her! Love you Preeti (please don’t take it otherwise :P ) for such an adorable and precious gift. xoxo :)

Images are taken by me. So, please be kind to link back if you use it.
